Boppana Sarath Gopal Shelter

About the Shelter

The Boppana Sarath Gopal Shelter is a beautifully crafted open pavilion located inside KBR Park, Hyderabad. Designed to blend naturally with the forest surroundings, the shelter resembles a traditional tree-shaded resting spot. With a strong circular structure, wooden-style pillars, and a wide canopy, it offers a peaceful space for everyone who walks or visits the park.

The shelter can comfortably accommodate around 30 people, making it a perfect resting and meditation point for morning walkers, joggers, families, and nature lovers.

A Tribute in KBR Park

This shelter was built in loving memory of Sri Boppana Sarath Gopal, who walked and jogged daily in KBR Park. He was known among the walking community for his simplicity, kindness, and the walking stick he carried every day. The park was a part of his everyday life, and he had many friends who shared the track with him.

Creating this shelter inside the same park ensures that his presence and legacy continue to be felt by everyone who knew him — friends, relatives, family members, and the large community of walkers.
